Follow this guide when you need to change your Sage password or you've forgotten it. E.g. you cannot log into GMail, Sage PCs, or other Sage services.

Here's how its done

  1. Go to using any browser on a PC or mobile device. You will be brought to the MyPortal login page.

If you know your current password and just want to change it, log in using your current Sage username and password and you will be prompted to change it. Otherwise, if you've forgotten your password continue on to step two.

  2. Click on the link labeled "Forgot Password".
  3. On the next page enter your Sage username.
  4. When prompted, answer your security questions.
  5. After you answer your security questions, a new password will be generated and shown to you. Save this password.

Wrapping up

At this point you have reset your Sage password. You should now be able to authenticate with Sage services. Please take note of the caveats below.

Since the password that was generated for you is random and likely hard to remember we recommend that you change it to something that you will remember. You can do this by going to and then logging in with your Sage username and your newly generated password, after logging in you will be prompted to enter a new password that you can remember.

If you need further help with your account or password you can look for more help at the Service Center at or call the IT Service Desk at 518-244-4777.

After changing your password, ensure that you update your credentials on devices that use your password behind the scenes. If you fail to do this, your account could end up locked out after a number of failed authentication attempts. Some common places to update your password include: WiFi devices (phone/laptop) that connect to Sage's WiFi and email clients on mobile phones.
